The main goal of this briefing was the redesign of Expo Lingua’s entire visual identity for their 2022 language festival at Strandbad Tegelsee.
This CI includes print and web assets.
Location
Strandbad Tegelsee, Berlin, Germany
Tonality
personal, playful, extroverted, loud, colourful, relatable
Target Group
Young parents (≥40) with children of high school age (≥14), who have an interest in languages. The parents are considered upper middle class academics which support their children academically and culturally.
They can be defined as cosmopolitans with an awareness of diversity
The character design draws on diversity and individual personalities without portraying people in a clichéd way. They are abstract illustrations that appeal to the visitor with wit and aesthetics
The focus here is on faces (mouths, eyes) that look very different and yet follow the same concept. A declinable concept allows for a range of different modular posters/assets.

Poster Alternatives
Website
A fundamental part of this redesign is also to push EXPO Lingua’s web presence.
Or rather give their website a facelift and make it more accessible for any interested visitors.
