La Foule

When I think back to my childhood, I remember the comfort of listening to french chanson, my grandma’s favourite genre. Especially Édith Piaf’s song La foule ignites a wave of melancholia and sense of reassurance inside me.

The tumultuous, passionate tonality of the song is represented by the expressive brushstrokes.
The letter combination “t” and “i” looks like the dancing crowd and simultaneously suggests the cheerful sound of the music.
